Aqua Security
2020 - Current
Security Research, Threat Intelligence & Data Analytics Leader
Jan 2020 to Present
When I joined Aqua Security in early 2020, my mission was clear:
to understand how cloud-native environments are being attacked - and to stop it.
I began by leading a small team focused on big-data analysis of real-world attacks. We dove deep into runtime events, cloud logs, container behaviors, and threat signals across the entire cloud-native lifecycle. Very quickly, the scope expanded - because the threat landscape did too.

Building Intelligence from the Ground Up
I recruited and led a dedicated group of researchers and analysts who built Aqua's foundational and propiatery threat intelligence technology - from dynamic execution environments to large-scale honeypot infrastructures deployed globally in the cloud.
We collected threat artifacts, binaries, logs, scripts, and further indications of attack and compromise and analyzed attacker behavior, and turned raw telemetry into actionable security insights.
At the same time, I shifted my own research into Linux and cloud-native internals - identity, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, misconfigurations, and emerging vulnerabilities - strengthening our ability to predict adversaries before they strike.

Shaping an Industry
As our understanding matured, Aqua became one of the first to publicly highlight the need for dynamic container analysis andruntime protection, beyond static scanning. Our findings allowed customers to harden supply chains, enforce identity protections, and strengthen cloud posture at scale.
To ensure this knowledge reached those who need it most, I:
- Led and authored dozens of research publications and attack analyses
- Created Aqua's annual Cloud-Native Threat Report, now a respected industry benchmark
- Provided thought leadership across conferences, podcasts, and briefings
- Established strategic collaboration with leading organizations like MITRE and Docker
- Supported sales and CS teams through deep-dive threat landscape sessions with customers around the world

Innovation, Impact, and Leadership
Working closely with Nautilus - Aqua's research group - I guided innovative ideas from early exploration into actual product capabilities. I mentored analysts, helped shape internal R&D priorities, and ensured that intelligence translated into business value.
Across all of this, the goal never changed:
defend the cloud-native world with speed, clarity, and precision.
